Ignite anything and everything. A quick method for setting a whole bunch of things on fire! |
Before we start, there are a few important things you might like to know. Knowing about the screen blending option is a good place to start.
The screen blending option is a way to screen out the black (or the darker colours) in an image. Basically, the more darker it is - the more it gets screened out. Think of it like the different shades you use when using mask layers.
For this reason, you are not going to want to pick up a stock image of fire that has a light background, you want one that has a darker background (prefferably black)
So, open up your two stock images.. you can use the ones provided below
So, there we have ballet lets and shoes, and some fire! Inferno may i add. Now, open both images up in photoshop and paste the fire layer ontop of the ballet layer.
Upon doing so, set thne blending options to screen, which will (yes.. i'm saying it again) hide the black, and expose the highlights and colour.
Yes, obviously i think i spoon fed you a little there. Right images sizes and whatnot. But, you get the general idea!
